How to deal with having to work with someone that makes you hate work
I (32M) was very good friends with a girl (33F) at work. She always said really nice things about me to people and even said I would make a great boyfriend. Over time I though maybe we could be thing so I decided to ask her out.
Turns out she had been texting a guy who I hate who is really obnoxious and bullied me when I started. And she liked him.
I found after I asked her out she was quite cold and actually just mean to me in general. If people would come to my desk with something I did wrong to give out to me (where I work this happens to everyone regularly) she would laugh at my misfortune.
And the guy has continued to be as smug as ever now knowing that she rejected me for him.
The problem is, I sit between the two of them.
And honestly it is just so draining every day sitting between these two people who make me feel terrible about myself.
Is there anything a person can do in a situation like this?
