🏈 The NFL will end the Pro Bowl Games after the 2026 season and retain the Pro Bowl as a selection-only honour. The league will name 88 original selections but will no longer stage an AFC–NFC game, flag-football matchup or skills competitions.
Voting will still be divided equally among fans, players and coaches. The NFL also will end replacement selections, meaning players unavailable because of injury, Super Bowl commitments or other reasons will not be replaced.
The change follows years of revisions to the all-star event. The last tackle Pro Bowl was played in 2022; the NFL introduced the flag-football-based Pro Bowl Games in 2023. ⚑
The league says the 2026 class will be announced in late December and receive uniform recognition, a personalized Topps card and other commemorative items. The 2027 class is to be honoured in person in Los Angeles during the traditional Pro Bowl weekend. 📍
