Alternatives to AllTrails??
I have so, so many problems with AllTrails, but specifically the app is now $80 a year for features I've been paying like $35 a year for since around 2022. Which is an insane price increase for an app that crashes all the time and has more bugs than a roach motel. No, it's not my phone. I've had 3 different phones in the past few years, and they all have issues with the app. Someone I work with recommended Avenza, but the fact that there are multi-hour long videos discussing how to use the basic functions of the app tells me it's not what I'm looking for. I just need an alternative that doesn't cost me more than I spend on food every week, and preferably one where the devs care enough to put out a functional app. Am I asking too much? In the age of enshittification? Probably. But a guy can dream.
