Any backpacking stories where you felt like in real danger?
My time in Rio De Janeiro Brazil wasn't so smooth.
I loved the place. That's why I returned. Although it felt like one of the most unsafe places I've been to in the world. I was mugged the first night in Copacabana and when I returned for a second trip we got jumped at the beach by a local pretending to be friendly. I watched police raid a favela with gunfire etc. Feels like being in a real life Hollywood movie there.
