Power outtages are some of the best times in your life.
When the power goes out our family always spends time talking, playing card and board games.
The electronics are put down and lots of cooking to use up the items in the refridgerator.
By candle and battery lanterns we listen to cds on the battery radio, and maybe enjoy a dvd on the portable player.
We have a generator to run the pump, heat the boiler and, keep the freezer cold.
Sleeping is better in a chilly room.
Granted after a day it gets annoying, but those first 24 hours are a good time.
