a. What is it that you do?
An ofw in Dubai, UAE.
I/we are a team member working on EKFC/Emirates Flight Catering.
Our job there is to supply or make food for Emirates airlines. That's what's served on the trolley when you're on board Emirates airlines, whether in economy or first class.
b. What do you love most about it?
What I love about working there is that even when we are tired from work, we still laugh or joke around. Whether it's in the workplace or during break time. Can see the joy on our faces that we are enjoying our work. Staffs can be transferred to different locations or workplaces. There is a chance on promotion of any position if we show diligence at work. Another thing is that we get to eat the foods that passengers eat on airplanes, like chocolates. But I also regret not trying to eat the kimchi. Because it's so pricey here. On our rest days, my colleagues and I have time to go to the beach to bond and have a picnic.
c. How does it make a difference in someone's life?
I can say that the difference of an Ofw or foreigner in another country is adjusting to the climate, environment, and also socializing with different races. Respecting and honoring the laws of a country. Also respecting religion because UAE is Islamic country.
