A bit of a rant here. Is it just me, or is it getting harder to trust weather predictions?
My wife and I check the weather a dozen times a day: AccuWeather, The Weather Channel app, Apple Weather, Alexa…. I get tons of alerts about coming storms that never materialize. But tonight, I got off work and had to drive home through flash floods when there was no rain predicted. I eventually got alerts about flash flooding after it had been flooding for an hour. So my experience for the past year or two as that the forecast has been getting way less accurate. And tonight, my experience was actually really dangerous because I had no idea it was coming. Is anyone else having the same problem? Are the weather stations using technology differently? Is all of this just in my head? For context, we live in Pensacola, FL, fairly near the gulf of whatever you wanna call it. 😎 #science source
