YSK: Being an introvert doesn't mean you're shy, anxious, or not outgoing. It means you enjoy alone-time and find it refreshing.
Why YSK: Because this word is often misused to describe social anxiety and true introverts may get overlooked for activities they'd otherwise enjoy. For instance, I'm a pretty strong intorvert and need a considerable amount of alone time to "re-charge". But one I'm "charged" I LOVE socializing, going out, talking, and being outgoing.Unfortunately when people describe themselves as an intorvert to others they assume they have cripiling social anxiety and tend to exclude them from things. Or they treat them with kid-gloves. While this is sweet and considerate, it's not what many intorverts want.
