YSK: Loaner smartphones are not a thing in most smartphone warranties Why YSK: If your phone needs to be repaired for warranty-covered problems, you may be told to turn it in to tech support for up to 6 weeks or more without a loaner/replacement. Most people (really nobody) can go that long without a smartphone, and most people don't have a backup phone. This means you'll likely be pressured to trade in your device for a new one. This just happened to me, my <4 month old flagship smartphone has a warranty-covered problem, but I have to trade it in at a big loss because I can't go 3-6 weeks without a phone.
