What steps to take to save a rotting window?
Condensation beads and soaks into the window trim on our windows with coverings in winter. We are taking steps to ensure this no longer happens, but damage is already done.
What can be done to save and seal the existing wood trim? I’m not sure I can replace the wood because it’s the trim glazed to the window (if I’m understanding correctly?) There are some visible gaps where the wood meets the glass. I also feel like I should spray it with something to kill mold just in case, but not sure if that’s necessary if I’ll be filling and sealing it?
Does someone have a step by step recommendation for something like this?
