Roadtrip vs. Flying, Summer 2026
My spouse and I have been planning a big summer road trip to see Glacier National Park as well as other state parks along the way and Craters of the Moon National Park. We have about 3-4 weeks to work with, and we have done other similar road trips before. We live in AZ and have 2 kids.
But now with gas prices and the potential future of the war with Iran, I'm wondering if we should stick with the road trip plan, switch to an airplane flight, or maybe cancel all together. We have some money but not like richy-rich money. We usually stay at Motel 6s or airbnbs, pack lots of snacks, and visit state/national parks.
I'm wondering what other people are doing who maybe are in the same boat or what is going into your thought process.
