What's one lesson you only learn after working construction for a while?
I've been working construction for a little over a year now and there are so many things nobody tells you before you start you can watch videos or ask questions but some stuff you only learn once you're actually on the job.
The other day I was sitting in my truck during lunch scrolling on my phone while trying to cool off for a few minutes and I realized how different my mindset is now compared to when I first started back then I thought the hardest part would be the physical work turns out it's staying patient, planning ahead and learning from people who've been doing this for years.
Every week I pick up some small tip that makes the job easier and wonder why nobody mentioned it sooner.
What's one piece of advice you wish someone had given you on your first day in construction?
