My wildest guess? 👇

He took the iPad from her hands and put it back on the display. Then he said, WAIT. The little girl probably thought she was in trouble, so she started packing her things and getting ready to leave. But instead of asking her to go, the employee came back with a small table and chair and helped her finish her homework. After seeing how much she needed it, the unexpected surprise was that they gave her a brand new tablet from the stock room. They also told her she could use the store’s WiFi and charging area to do her homework whenever she needed it. She came in just looking for a little internet connection, but she left with a brand new tablet and a place to study.

The written guess parks the iPad and wheels in a table and chair so the homework can finish. The picture skips ahead: Jason is kneeling with a box labeled TABLET and that kid is already delighted. If the mall surprise is the box, the table was just the setup.

Haha, that box had the real plot twist. Display tablet goes back, a new one comes out, and there is still a spot to charge and finish the page. Way kinder than a send-off.
