I work at a store where every day brings different customers and responsibilities.

A small, shivering puppy darted through the automatic front doors, sprinting straight behind the checkout counter.
The worried customer gasped, suddenly smiling as they dropped their shopping bag and shouted, "That's Barnaby!"
Before I could process the sudden canine invasion, the little dog leaped up onto my stool and held out a tiny, muddy paw clutching a crumpled fifty-dollar bill.
The entire line of shoppers burst into laughter, completely forgetting their hurried errands for a heartwarming moment.
It turned out Barnaby had escaped from the groomer down the street to buy his own favorite chew toy.
