I built a fresh PC at least three years ago, I don't remember, and right off the bat I ran into a problem, where using both 16gb ddr4 RAM sticks turns the PC off in a way, that after it shuts down with no warnings I need to press the PSU power button, wait \~30 seconds and turn it back on so that the PC even restarts.
I tried both sticks on their own, I used the correct slots, the sticks work. But when together, the PC does turn on, but it crashes under ANY load, like opening a folder; let's not think about opening a browser lmao.
So my question is, would updating my BIOS help or do I have a faulty MOBO? When I was looking this up, I got some suggestions that maybe the CPU and RAM don't like each other, but I didn't really look into it much.
Thanks for any answers and suggestions.
SPECS: (don't laugh)
Ryzen 7 5700x (I got it from two friends for my birthday, so I technically built the PC around the CPU)
ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING (AM4)
ASUS RTX 3060 (prices went through the roof at the time)
