I keep getting mixed opinions on marble vs other stones for bathrooms… what actually holds up long term?
I’m planning a bathroom renovation and I’ve been going down a rabbit hole trying to figure out what natural stone actually makes sense long term.
Marble looks amazing in photos, but I keep reading that it can stain and needs a lot of maintenance. Then others say they’ve had it for years with no issues if it’s sealed properly.
Then there’s travertine and porcelain marble look tiles, and everyone seems to have a different opinion.
So I’m a bit stuck.
If you’ve actually used natural stone in a bathroom:
* what have you personally used?
* did it age well or become a maintenance headache?
* would you pick something different if you could redo it?
I’m trying to avoid choosing something just because it looks good on Pinterest
