Excuse the mess, but I want to know how realistic this is as a diy project. My boys share a small room with only one closet that has bifold doors. Said closet has almost two feet on either side of it that ends up being dead/wasted space because it’s behind the wall. If I was able to open up the doorway and build a more custom closet system, we would gain a ton of space. I know i would need to move the electrical outlet but that wont be a problem. What im more worried about is if I widen the doorway, am i going to run into major structural issues that I’m not thinking about. Has anyone done this before or are there things i should consider before moving forward? #home source
