9 hours trip from SFO, San Francisco International Airport

I will transfer a flight and stay for 8 hours (3pm to 11pm) in SFO. I've never been to San Francisco. I'd like to take this chance to see the city, even just a glimpse. What is the best way to go around? bike, taxi, bus, subway? Any suggestions, please! Or it is just too short to do anything....
