Regenerating health ruined the meta of first person shooters

When you play 2000s era first person shooters or survival games you could not afford to play reckless think about the herbs in resident evil or the first aid kit that you had to find when you stormed the beaches of Normandy on Call of Duty® or medal of honor it forces map exploration, and resource management, no compare that to to games today get shot or take a little bit of damage. Your screen goes red you hide behind something and you’re right back in the fight that encourages reckless play styles,

Look at games like hell let loose or the wolfenstein reboot trilogy, or even resident evil, those games made you play carefully because health was limited and placement, positioning and cover mattered more than twitchy gameplay, I feel like games should have a mixture of both you get 4 mini health bars 25 hp for all, if you take a little damage it will regenerate but to much and you loose it, you gotta find a health pack to get that mini bar back, and when you get down to 25 HP, the screen gets red, and you gotta find health kids to get back to 100
