Applying Question
Hello,
About a month ago I applied to teach at a school (I have experience in the grade they posted, but that grade isn’t my current one). They never called me back or anything, so I assumed the process was done. I’m currently at a different school, and they’re planning to keep me so I’m not sweating it. I’m mainly just wanting to teach somewhere closer to home. Current school is far, the other one is way closer. I have a job, though, so I won’t complain.
The school I applied to just opened up another teaching position for the grade I actually teach.
Here’s my question: it’s been roughly a month since I applied and heard nothing. Would it be weird for me to apply to the new open position at the school? Obviously the worst thing that happens is I get ghosted again, but is it professionally inappropriate to apply to the same place twice for different positions?
