Is DDR4-2133 2x8GB RAM enough for new build when aiming for playing Cyberpunk 1440p with Ultra+PT on? Or should I just go for a build with DDR5?
I am planning to either upgrade or buy a new PC. My dream is to play Cyberpunk 2077 with max settings, PT on, at least 1440p resolution (4K would be even nicer), FPS between 60-120. If just possible in my budget range. I would use DLSS. I would also play other games.
I've been on the fence on whether to do a build using my old RAM (since the current prices are so much... and I would save some money), or buy a used PC that is custom built. Or make a new build. My current computer is 10 years old, and the RAM I am using now is DDR4-2133 CL14 (Kingston Hyperx Fury 2 x 8GB). I would assume it's too old and not wise to use for my dream build? Or is it? Also the other parts are probably too old as well to use? Except maybe the SATA SSDs?
The used PC that I am considering right now is similar to PCpartpicker's "Excellent AMD build" (price in my country 1689€) but has nice aio cooler, case and RGB fans (will list specs down). Used PC is 1750e. And looks really nice (looks are very important for me also and I am willing to put some budget into it). Also the parts still have warranty as it was built in last November.
My budget is between 1000-2000e (I'd prefer to go under 1800e). I would like a powerful gaming PC without "wasting money". And I don't want to wait several years, as it seems to me the RAM situation will last probably longer than a year.
I am hoping my new PC will last me another 10 years, with probably upgrading the GPU at some point.
