If relocation isn't possible, what can be really be done…

If relocation isn't possible, what can be really be done about the available dating pool?

I'm a guy, nearing my 40s, and I've never dated, and have barely even had any kind of platonic social life. I don't currently have any friends, so admittedly, I don't really have any ways to get out and encounter people in the real world (and I'm too socially inept to meet and connect with new people even if I were out there).

So, I've largely been on and off the dating apps. Never really had any success there, either. If I get any matches at all (which is almost never), they don't really talk much to me and it goes nowhere.

However, what I've really been noticing is that, none of the women on these apps appeal to me personally, for one reason or another. To be clear, I'm not talking about looks, I don't feel I'm that motivated by physical attraction. But, I feel like I see a lot of women that clearly just don't align with me in one way or another.

Women who want kids (I do not), women who say "God/ Jesus/ faith is a top priority in my life" (I'm agnostic at best, anti-religion at worst), women who lean heavily conservative (I'm the polar opposite). Even putting these things aside, a bunch of women barely even say anything about themselves in the profiles beyond "No hook ups, no poly!", which tells me nothing about whether I'd be interested in them at all.

And it's not like I live in a small town or anything. I live near a fairly notable city. So, I'm baffled by how so many of the local women (at least according to the dating apps) are so unaligned with me, or at the very least, don't say much about themselves in their profiles for me to be able to know if I'd be interested in them at all.

Relocation really isn't on the table for me, so, I mean, what else is there that one can do when the dating pool just doesn't seem very good for me to begin with?
