Advice for Northern Route from Maine to Washington State
I’ll be driving across the country in about 10 days to go relocate my life and “find myself” on the west coast. I’m looking for some tips and advice so me and my senior dog can have a safe and fun time along the way. Money’s tight, I’ll be looking to camp out in state or national parks, with a few hotel stops along the way. My rough plan is this:
Maine —-> Adirondacks, camping there
Adirondacks—-> northern Ohio, cheap lodging?
Ohio—-> Upper Peninsula of Michigan, camping (too cold?)
UP—-> Duluth, MN
Duluth—-> Sioux City
Sioux City—-> Badlands
Badlands——> Idaho
Tips, advice or your own experiences would be helpful. And yes, I am aware that I’ve completely breezed over Wyoming, Montana with Yellowstone and the Tetons. I’m happy to find good spots out there with your advice!
