A few months ago I designed a pod that people really liked. So instead of just making another one, I thought: why not a platform? One shared locking system, and every new pod I design plugs right into it. Lids, rings and hooks included.
Three pods later, here we are: every part swaps with every other, mix and match whatever combo you like. Now I'm working on a docking station to keep them all in one place, and more pods will come.
All of this with only 9 working fingers! 😅 ASMR included.
I wasn't expecting this. Six hours of great feedback, nine hundred jokes about anuses, and one badge I'll never forgive 😂
Turns out the real EDC was the letter J we lost along the way.
Here's everything I'm taking home:
1. **Check your thumbnails before publishing.** Twice. Then once more. 2. **Stackable compartment modules.** An extension ring with its own floor, so you can stack as many compartments as you want and finish with any lid. 3. **A first aid pod** with a clearly marked lid, for bikes, packs and camping. 4. **A lid with side hooks**, so a cord holds the pod flat against your pack instead of letting it dangle. 5. **A flat, squat pod.** The moon name is already picked: Pan, one of Saturn's "ravioli" moons. 6. **One that fits a bike bottle cage.** 7. **Watertight** is what most of you want. It's what I want too. It means leaving the shared interface behind, so it'll take a while. 8. Uses I'd never thought of and you did: poop bag holder, dog treats, festival cash and earplugs, prescription bottles
