Here’s my simple opinion about the Discord and Reddit situation in the Philippines.
If I were Discord or Reddit, I would question an immediate ban without a clear court process. In my opinion, legal procedures should be followed while also addressing online safety concerns.
Could they claim damages? I think it would depend on Philippine law and whether the ban was legally authorized. A challenge may be possible, but damages would not automatically be granted.
The main lesson is simple: online safety and legal rights should both be respected.
