Kansas City to Oregon Coast
Going on a road trip coming up in a month or so from Kansas City to the N. California/Oregon Coast. We have 2 kids, age 10 & 6. We are planning to take I-80 and stay at the orange circle locations in hotels near Laramie, WY & Winnemucca, NV or close to. 1st & 2nd day \~10hrs, 3rd day \~ 6hrs. Even though our days will be pretty full of driving, we would like to stop at some cool places along the route. Nothing can take too long. We have 2 nights camping at Crater Lake, 2 at Redwood National Forest, 2 up the coast of Oregon near Coos Bay. We will spend a few days in Bend, OR and then make the trip back going through Salt Lake City, Provo, and Denver. Give suggestions for any of the places listed along our entire trip is appreciated.
