Microsoft is developing AI agents that can work through websites and desktop apps from a simple instruction, while Google is experimenting with interfaces that adapt to the request itself.
The interface wonโt disappear, but you wonโt always have to figure it out on your own. AI can guide you through it as you go.
That only works properly if the AI understands what youโre trying to do. Google researchers testing AI assistance in complex software found that models still struggle with user intent and knowing when help is actually useful.
