Would it be insane to go to Brazils carnival alone as a female?
I am starting another trip to South American in mid February. I have seen some hotels and wondered if I booked a hostel would I likely be able to join a group of people there? Or is it too risky to bank on that?
Also, are there other places in Brazil and South America that also have a great carnival but not quite as dangerous as Rios? For example does florianopolis have a good one?? I have been to Perus and it was nice and cultural but not wild.
I am late 20s and speak Spanish but not Portuguese. I’m obviously not a local.
