2-3 months in to a managers role..
Took a promotion to a management role around 2-3 months ago.
And quite frankly - the work isn't beyond my level off intelligence or capacity. But i really dont enjoy it.
Im doing 2 jobs as I cant recruit for a replacement for my old role (and probably won't for another 12 months due to budget cuts).
My team are great - but to be honest ive no idea what I'm doing. I can 'manage' them on a day to day basis, which is what my predecessor did. But im not leading them. I cant honestly say I'm making their lives any easier or motivating them any extra.
Am I just totally failing at this?
