Ultimately it comes down to what fuels your passion and that comes with some trial and error. i know a guy that has a job in animation with amazing talent but all he ever does is mix and post cocktails because that became his comfort zone (RIP his liver). you may find your niche eventually but i think nothing speaks against being versatile and a master-of-none and still be fulfilled.
