A London baker selling a classic 'Cottage Loaf' from the back of his hand cart for 6 pence, 1925.
The "DARE" on the cart is short for Daren Bread, a very popular brand back then. Also, the sign on the left says "Empire Flour", which was part of a 1920s economic campaign to encourage Londoners to buy bread made from Canadian and Australian wheat instead of foreign imports. #history
