Which of the Blazers mascots will survive El Cheapo's cuts?
No this is not a joke post, there is historical precedent. Back in 2018, when the Carolina Hurricanes changed ownership they had two mascots: Stormy and the newly introduced Caroline. Since El Cheapo took over the Canes, Caroline has not - to my knowledge - made an appearance at a Hurricanes home game and while we don't know fure what caused it, one can make a reasonable assumption that the guy who wouldn't pay to bring his two-way players with the team until backlash caused him to change his mind may have had something to do with it.
Which bring a US to his NBA team. The Trail Blazers are one of the few teams with two mascots: Blaze the Cat (No relation to the Sonic character) and a Bigfoot creature named Douglas Fur. Historical precedent would suggest, if cuts are coming for the Blazers, that Douglas is the more likely to go given he's the newer of the two but it's not like Blaze is untouchable. Heck, he took the job from a dalmatian mascot in the 00s!
