Had the weirdest job interview.
I had a dog training company I applied to back in November reach out and ask if I still wanted to do an interview last week. Thought what the hell, forgot all about it. Couldn’t find ANYTHING on this place accept their website and 3 google reviews. Weird, still thought to do the interview bc who knows maybe they’re starting new or something, right? THE INTERVIEW- I log on through indeed and it’s like a 18 year old kid, who tells me he’s not the owner but the VP of the company. He is sitting in a dark room with only the computer illuminating his face. He asked me only TWO questions, “do you have experience training dogs” and “would you be down to take an online class so we can get you started”. Two huge red flags within the first 5 mins. Then I ask “well what does this typically look like” and I can hear someone whispering to this kid and the kid isn’t answering my question he just keeps saying “yeah” and “okay” in between whispers all while making this weird smirky face at me and licking his lips occasionally. I got the ick so fucking fast, the whole encounter maybe lasted 10mins and as soon as he said “we’ll send you the info on the class and paperwork for hire”, I said “okay cool” and then reported that the job was misleading on indeed and I’m hoping they never reach out to me. Maybe I’m overacting but like what the fuck?
