What "Next Generation" Character do you Miss or Wish had Caught On?
I have always enjoyed the trope of introducing young characters who are set up to be the next generation of heroes. For example, teams like the New Mutants, Young Justice, or Avengers Academy kids, and young characters on teams (like Vance Astro and Firestar on Busiek's Avengers). Unfortunately, because aging these characters up would mean making the prior generation too old to continue heroing, they usually have their season and then go by the wayside.
I recently dove back into Hickman's Secret Warriors and reminisced about how Daisy Johnson/Quake made pretty regular appearances throughout Bendis' Avengers era but never quite made it to the team roster. As far as I know, she hasn't made any significant appearances since then.
What are some "next gen" characters you either miss or wish had gotten to develop further?
