Do you think USB-C will ever replace HDMI, DisplayPort, Ethernet, etc?

I don't like HDMI, nobody sane does, but what would it take for USB-C to become the global standard for everything and why hasn't it happened yet? USB-C already supports display features and from what I read there's nothing HDMI does that USB-C can't do.
