Random musings: it's the time of year I get super excited to garden followed by several months of giving up.
It happens every year. The sales! The flowers! The promise of a ton of labor for a single tomato plant!
I get so excited! Really, truly, I do! I plan everything out. I preorder. I tell myself that this year will be totally different!
And then I get everything in the ground and the first week of heat, well it's just too hot. Or rainy. Or I'm too lazy.
It's not productive, it's a waste of money. But gosh dang, do I love this time of year.
This year, I'm only planting a couple of perennials that already have a pre-planned spot. Some iris, some bleeding heart, a couple of pink lemonade blueberry bushes.
But holy heck, this year is going to be awesome!
Anyone else feel this way?
