When I was a kid (up to about 11 or 12), I considered myself a total hell-raiser at school and extremely sociable—at least until around 2017 or 2018. Then, in 2019 and the post-pandemic period—right as I started high school—I started feeling like crap. I lost the knack for social interaction; whenever I tried, I’d hold myself back because I was afraid of reverting to that disruptive troublemaker I used to be. Since I didn't know how to handle decent social interactions, I felt pretty depressed about it all, a state that lasted until around 2023. In early 2024, after passing an Army entrance exam, I started working in a field where cooperation, camaraderie, and teamwork are essential. This forced me to interact—and sometimes even act like the jerk I used to be, albeit much more restrained. Yet, I still don't quite know how to interact with people or socialize like a normal person. I managed to make a few friends during training, but I think that was just a result of the environment "forging" those friendships. I’ve finally graduated from training, and now I don't know how to interact with my new coworkers or navigate life in this new city, where my social life is practically non-existent. What can I do to become a decent person who knows how to socialize and act normally? Being "myself" isn't an option—after all, I don't even really know who "myself" is anymore. #relationships source
