After seeing the architecture of the Artemis 3 mission, a detail caught my attention. Why does the Starship HLS need so many refilling missions in orbit to take humans to the Moon? I understand that the Starship does not meet the necessary Delta-V requirements to travel to the Moon in a single launch, but my doubt is, Why does a vehicle as big as the Starship, twice as powerful as the Saturn V, need so many refilling missions while Saturn V could take the Apollo astronauts from Earth to the Moon in a single mission? Excuse my ignorance and thanks in advance :) #space source
