I had two huge total damage accidents, both on icy roads. One was on a country road in the late evening, on Santa Claus Day, in December, where no one was driving. The road was dry, I was driving at 100 km/h, I was visiting a friend. I came to a wooded section, and on the bend my BMW, which is rear-wheel drive, skidded, I hit a road sign, which pushed me so much that I started spinning the car on the road, I thought my neck would break, and I just skidded for 500 m, I thought the car would never stop. My whole life was replaying in my head how this accident would end, I was helplessly waiting for the end. But the car just spun and spun. Then suddenly it was over, I crashed into a very deep ditch, about 2 m deep, facing traffic. I was lucky that there was no one on the road except me. I was trapped in the car, I couldn't open the door on the driver's seat because the wall of the ditch was there. I saw that the radiator was smoking, I knew I had to climb out of there somehow because the car might explode or who knows what would happen I was in such shock that it didn't occur to me that I could climb out of the driver's seat. So I opened the convertible top and climbed out there. I somehow climbed out of the ditch, it was very cold, the icy grass was slippery, and the road was pure ice. (Later it turned out that there is a lake nearby, and the mist always condenses here in the evening. Those who live here know that this section is life-threatening in winter, you can only drive very slowly.) I waited for half an hour, I was freezing to death from the shock, from the cold, when a car came along, but it couldnβt brake, it kept sliding, Then it stopped somehow, they came to me to ask if I was okay, to take me to the hospital, I couldnβt even speak. They took me to a warm place, from where I could make a phone call, and my friends came for me from 70 km away. And the next day the auto ambulance brought my totaled damaged car home. The accident could have ended differently if I had crashed into a tree at high speed, but by some miracle, the good God didnβt want me to leave this world at a young age.
My second accident happened during the day, also on a sunny day before Christmas, but in a wooded area, the same thing happened to me, but the ditch was smaller here, and the car was not damaged. I got out to see what the damage was to the car and whether I could get the car out of the ditch. Suddenly, a driver stops next to me on the other side of the road and asks if everything is okay. I say yes and then I hear a shout, jump! I looked up and saw the next car coming with a trailer, it skidded on the road in the same place where I was and I saw it spinning and hitting my car. I was able to jump at the last moment. If the driver who warned me hadn't been there, this car would have crushed me to death. Later, he was the witness. It hit my car and destroyed it, the people inside were not injured, but they were so shocked that they didn't even know that they had smashed my car. But I survived, December 23rd is my second birthday. There are still miracles! ππ
