I am FULLY convinced that if you are in the drive thru and you are trying to pull up the app to get points they have a blocker that doesn’t allow you to access it. If you pull up the app well before you get to the store, it pulls up no problem.
I know there are others out there that have this same experience… REVEAL YOURSELVES!
