why we made the whole robot face just one giant screen
honestly most ai toys have tiny little pixel screens that can't show any real emotion. our view is that full-screen ai toys are likely the next trend, since a larger screen can present much more multimodal ai information. so kitto's entire face is a screen. it comes with a 410×502 high-res retina display, and the actual hardware looks much better than photos can show. when it gets mad or happy, u can see every little micro-expression. we did some pretty interesting work here. the cat licking its paw isn’t just one loop — it’s made from several slightly different animation fragments that can be mixed into many possible version. a massive screen lets u actually see those tiny details. makes it feel way more like a high-end designer toy than a piece of office tech.
