I've needed hearing aids since I was 10 years old, and just never wanted to be the kid at school wearing hearing aids, so I refused to wear them. I was always envious of people who get to wear designer glasses, and there are now even people who don't need glasses who wear them because they look so good. So, about 7 years ago, I started working on this project, "Overtone", to do the same for hearing technology and began video-blogging the progress. I started with wire and foam models, 3D-printed newer designs, and after finding a hearing aid manufacturer to do the electronics, these are now fully-working and made with acetate and titanium. #diy source
