Looking for trip recs out of Seattle with base camp + day hikes
Hi everyone! Travelling to Seattle in early October and looking for some recommendations. I'll be 6 months post ACL surgery and I've been cleared to do day hikes with light weight on my back but not allowed to carry a heavy pack yet. I'm a pretty avid backpacker (had to postpone a trip to the Enchantments this year...) but mainly familiar with the East Coast and CA.
The current plan is to load up my partners back with our heavy gear, hike in somewhere (anywhere 2-8 miles?), set up base camp, and do a few day hikes from there (any length is fine).
Does anyone have any recommendations? We'll rent a car in Seattle and looking to do 1-2 nights.
