What do we know about Google replacing Broadcom with MediaTek for the new inference TPUs?
I was surprised to see an article yesterday that was talking about the new TPUs coming out of Google.
There is two, Zebrafish and Sunfish. Zebrafish is for inference but Google is not using Broadcom but instead MediaTek. Why did they do this? So they pay less money?
Google is using Broadcom for the training chip.
