Just bought a 70's tri-level from the original owners. I like the idea of keeping some of the original 'charm' in the kitchen, while updating the rest. I plan to have the countertops replaced with white quartz, along with the sink (white farmhouse style). Also planning to replace the floor with a lighter tile. I kind of like the current backsplash and am considering painting the cabinets a sage green to tie in the green in some of the tiles. Since I currently do not live nearby, all updates will be done by a contractor. Should I have the cabinets painted, swap out hardware, and switch to hidden hinges? Or, should I just have the doors/drawers replaced for a more modern look?
