Synopsis: Four high school kids discover an old video game console and are drawn into the game's jungle setting, literally becoming the adult avatars they chose. What they discover is that you don't just play Jumanji - you must survive it. To beat the game and return to the real world, they'll have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives, discover what Alan Parrish left 20 years ago, and change the way they think about themselves - or they'll be stuck in the game forever.
Review: This movie isn't based on a video game, but it's way better than most of the ones that are. It captures the feel of a video game perfectly, giving us an awesome adventure/comedy with a fantastic cast and direction. It keeps us hooked the whole time, and we're totally absorbed in it. The CGI, VFX, and teamwork are all top-notch, making it a really well-made film. It's a worthy successor to the classic Jumanji movie with Robin Williams. I love the idea of friends getting stuck inside a video game and playing it like it's real life. The concept alone makes it great, and luckily, the execution lives up to it.
