You can’t attempt to gatekeep your city/state. No one is going to pass up on an opportunity because someone on the internet doesn’t want them to.
I am so god damn sick of seeing BOTH sides of this. From “don’t California my Texas/Tennessee/Montana” to don’t move to “NYC/LA/SF/MIAMI”
Literally no one cares that your parents happened to move there 30 years before someone else did. Now you think you have claim on who moves to the city. Also if its so damn crowded, I better not see you having kids.
Normal people know people move for all kinds of reasons. Have fun being a prick.
EDIT- this goes for small tourist towns as well. I used to live in one, and people acted like the best thing on Earth would be that everyone would stop vacationing there.
I totally understand people coming and disrespecting nature, this is a VERY small percentage of people. Most wanna just enjoy their vacation and are unproblematic, the internet just doesn’t bitch about those people.
Meanwhile locals all made good money working at hotels/resorts BECAUSE PEOPLE WANT TO BE THERE!!!
I wonder if they would like it better growing up in a podunk small town with no job opportunities at all?
