My dad (mid 50s) and I (early 20s) are stuck between spending my BA companion voucher (approx 65k points accumulated) on a 10 day trip to Shanghai or HK.
We are both vegetarian - no egg, fish, meat etc. So food became a main worry but we think it would be ok?
Albeit like 25yrs ago my dad went HK so that has me leaning towards Shanghai as we would both be doing something completely new. Though I feel like 10 days is too long in Shanghai...? We aren't nature/hiking etc. people, very city focused with excursions to see temples or landmarks or whatever.
The thought of doing a daytrip (unless you guys think having to spend a couple nights? Haven't looked into this enough) in Macau from HK seems tempting as the only things I found to do in HK revolved around walking round different areas of town and seeing Victoria Peak/Harbour.
