Imagine Dragons songs aren't actually that bad. They just got played to death
People these days really don't want to admit that Imagine Dragons have made a lot of great songs.
Everyone keeps saying they're a bad band and that their music is bland, overproduced, or just annoying. At this point, it's just like hating on Imagine Dragons has become a hype of its own. People hear someone say they're bad, so they just repeat it without really thinking about why.
Their songs were definitely overplayed, but that's not the same thing as them being bad. You couldn't escape them for years because their songs were ridiculously catchy and popular. I think people just got tired of hearing them and started confusing “I'm sick of this song” with “this song sucks.”
