You know, my hubby always tells me, 'We don’t do charity for content.' It’s a simple rule: if you have the power to help, just do it. Looking at this photo, it feels like a sad trend where the camera matters more than the person. When we prioritize a selfie over the human being in front of us, the kindness starts to feel hollow and fake. It reminds me of Matthew 5:16, which says we should let our light shine before others, so they may see our good works and give glory to our Father in heaven. But here, the girl is shining the light on herself, not the deed. As Proverbs 3:27 says, we shouldn't withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of our hand to do it. Kindness is a duty, not a photo op. In a world full of cameras, I truly believe the most real moments are the ones that never make it to the internet.
